Oh my hell, breath-taking.

You know what? Enough of jumping from song to song stating my amazed awe-struck over-and-over-and-over again. Just release a CD already on Amazon or something...I can't speak for the rest of us, but I'd buy it.

Simple and perfect melody once again. Touching and imaginatevely stimulating. You're a marvel.

MJTTOMB responds:

Thankies, thankies.

But the price of getting it all for free is the clicking. I can always recommend my personal favorites.

PM Me, I can fix you a list in very little time at all.

A very graceful piece.

For what it's worth, this has LIMITLESS potential in somebody's flash or flash game...the tale it tells through it's soft notes can only further be described by what's being perceived through the eyes and by the mind.

When you listen, what do you see? Do you see yourself or do you see a child? Do you see a desolate place, once thriving with life in times too old to tell, or do you see a wonderous new world?

"The Darkness Suite" is truly a tantalizing score, Brilliantly stimulating to the imagination...it only bewilders me further to know this has been out since September and nobody's used it in a flash yet; I can think of countless scenarios that I could build around this song and this song alone. You're a brilliant composer; You keep it fluent, you break it up and let it fly...you do everything you should do. I'm voting my highest, sir. I wish to hear more from you!

-About to go investigate the rest of your work, Phobotech-

MJTTOMB responds:

Woah, very thoughtful.

Lots of adjectives. :P

But Yeah. Thanks man. I won't insult you by being modest. Have you heard the other movements? They're also quite nice.

And then some of my more recent pieces are nice too.

All things considered...

...It actually would make sense to do a short clip of the chaotic Metal Mayhem when you look at the flexible relationship between the Audio Portal and the Flash Portal; Alot of flash artists out there need to demonstrate a certain environment for a scene, so instead of ripping and cropping and editing down an entire song, they could just come here instead.

For instance...say it's a small scene where something happens that triggers absolute, brutal, savage hell in the story...this tiny clip would be absolutely perfect for said scene and what-little more does the Flash Artist have to do but thank Metalcan for helping them out with his work!

It sounds great short, I can imagine the full-version would sound totally brutal. In the meantime, though, this audio clip can serve a wide range of purposes. From collabs, to scenes, to even just a short...what makes it great is that it SOUNDS well done, and that's what matters.

Great job again, Metalcan! Please do continue with a full version!

Metalcan responds:

Thanks very much for the nice review Phobotech! Yeah it is what it is; a short clip that people can use for brutal scenes and whatnot. There will never be a full version, but there will be other long metal tunes in the future.

Glad you liked it!

Amazing; another Satch fan in the APortal!

Listening to it, there are only minute (but extremely hard to find) differences between this and Joe Satriani. Simply amazing craftsmanship!

I tried looking under your favorites to see what other Ibanez legends you idolize, but alas, only 3. (Although Eddie Van Halen aint bad, my friend...not too bad at all...)

You are my new favorite Audio Portal artist, and by listening to this piece, it's inspired me to pick my bass back up again; I sort of lost motivation what-with the working my ass off to cover rent, so in my free time I'll either doodle or come here...listening to stringed melodies like this inspire me to want to play like that someday.

...Well, I better get crackin'...I'm gonna go listen to the rest of your work, Add you as my number 1 fav, and save up money to by new string. (...I also hadn't been playing 'cause I need new strings crazy-mad-style. lol)

So yes...voting 5, a job well done, Metalcan...now go and update your favorite music section!

Metalcan responds:

Thanks a lot for the nice review, glad I could inspire you to pick up your bass again! A really cool piece to play on bass is the Love Thing part from the bass solo by Stu Hamm. It's from Joe Satriani Live in San Francisco. If you haven't heard it you can check out my song Stu Jam. It's a cover but I played it on guitar, and it's not perfect, but it's the same notes as you would play on a bass. I think it's pure awesome (Stu's version not mine :)).

Yeah I do need to get my favorites in order. I hadn't noticed that you could do that yet, but I'm on it now. ;)

Thanks for voting 5, much appreciated!

Soothing...very beautiful.

It actually broadens what I have come to expect to come out of the Newgrounds Portal...before this submission, I thought it was nothing but video-game remakes, typical Drum N Bass, the occasional guitar recording and some people trying out to become a DJ...but this piece brought the A.Portal into a whole new spectrum for me.

I heard a whole bunch of influences in this piece, reminded me a whole wide range of bands, from Styx to Paul Oakenfold, from Steve Vai to Enigma...but I can't successfully attach a single part of this song to anything I've ever heard before, therefore it strikes me as an extremely original piece...you put alot of time into this, and it shows.

All in all, it's really hard not to kick back when you listen to this piece, and as I read below, I could find it very easy to stargaze to this. The only criticsm I personally hold starts around 4:00 into it; those high notes that raise and dance in and out from the 4 minute mark are just a wee-bit shrill in comparison to the soft, flowing background...in a way, though, this could symbolize the sharpness of space, but regardless ==(Glowing Galaxy)== Is now one of my all-time favorite pieces. Great Job SBB! Wish I could vote higher than 5.

Definately the best Corneria Mix so far!

The percussions in between 1:02 and 1:22 are just a little bit overpowering. Other than that, it's a solid remix! It sounds very SNESy!

Duude...

Your bending the strings WAAAY too much, it makes the opening riff sound like a horrible accident..., plus when you get distorted, it all just becomes weak...fazy, and just not a lot of power behind it...UP THE VOLUME ON THE DISTORTED GUITARS!!! MAKE IT BOOM!

And again, don't bend the strings so much on that "whaa" in the riff, it makes it sound out of tune, or something...that's all really...Great job FUNKBrs

OMG, Goldencat you suck...

No seriously, you make Da Blaknix sound great! I mean it...You flow about as good as a 13 year-old white brick with gum on one side. This is SHIT!...

...but on the bright side, it made me laugh...
